What each AI action costs

One credit balance covers every AI channel. MCP tool calls use 1 credit; WhatsApp AI and in-app chat use 3 credits per turn, or 1 credit with your own AI provider key.

• MCP tool call from Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI app: 1 credit. Each tool action your connected AI performs in TimeLens — adding a task, logging time, reading your plan — uses 1 credit. Connecting and browsing the tool list is always free.
• WhatsApp AI message: 3 credits. Each message you send that the TimeLens AI answers on WhatsApp uses 3 credits, including any plan updates it makes for you in that turn.
• In-app AI chat turn: 3 credits. Each message you send to the assistant inside TimeLens uses 3 credits, covering the reply and any actions it takes on your workspace.
• WhatsApp or chat turn with your own AI key: 1 credit. Connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API key in Settings and every WhatsApp or in-app chat turn drops to 1 credit.

Always free — no credits needed

The core TimeLens app never uses credits.

• Planning, journaling, habits, notes, projects, checklists, and manual time tracking — the core app never uses credits.
• Connecting an AI app over MCP, listing available tools, and discovery calls.
• Failed or errored AI actions — you are only charged when an action succeeds.
• Reports, reviews, dashboards, and everything you do yourself in the app.

Monthly credit grants

Every account refreshes on its own 30-day cycle — anchored to your trial end date on Free or your billing date on Pro — so you always get a full period.

• Free: 300 credits per month. Refreshes every 30 days from the day your trial ends (or your signup date if you skip the trial).
• Pro: 1,000 credits per month. Refreshes every 30 days from your billing date — annual subscribers still get a fresh grant every 30 days.
• 7-day trial: 1,000 credits during trial. Trial accounts get the full Pro credit grant, so you can try every AI feature at Pro scale before deciding.

Top-up packs

Buy more credits anytime from Settings → Billing or guest checkout. Purchased credits stay valid for 12 months and are spent after your monthly grant.

• Small: 300 AI credits for ₹99. A quick boost when you are close to your next refresh.
• Medium: 1,000 AI credits for ₹299. A full Pro-sized month of credits, whenever you need it.
• Large: 3,500 AI credits for ₹899. The best per-credit rate for heavy AI use.

• What are AI usage credits? AI usage credits are one simple balance that powers every AI feature in TimeLens — MCP tool calls from Claude or ChatGPT, WhatsApp AI conversations, and the in-app chat assistant. Instead of separate daily limits per feature, you get one monthly grant to spend however you like, and you can buy more anytime.
• How much does each AI action cost? An MCP tool call uses 1 credit. A WhatsApp AI message or in-app chat turn uses 3 credits. If you connect your own AI provider key, WhatsApp and chat turns drop to 1 credit each. Connecting AI apps, listing tools, and failed actions are always free.
• How many credits do I get each month? Free accounts include 300 credits per month and Pro includes 1,000 per month. During the 7-day trial you get the full Pro grant.
• When does my credit grant refresh? Your grant refreshes every 30 days on your own personal cycle — anchored to your trial end date on Free, or your billing date on Pro — so you always get a full period, never a short first month. Unused grant credits don't carry over; your balance simply resets to the full grant.
• How do I buy more credits? Open Settings → Billing in the app and pick a top-up pack — Small (300 for ₹99), Medium (1,000 for ₹299), or Large (3,500 for ₹899). You can also buy a pack straight from this page. Purchased credits are added on top of your monthly grant.
• Can I buy credits before creating an account? Yes. Pick a pack on this page, pay with just your email on the checkout page, then sign up or sign in with the same email — your credits are waiting on your account automatically.
• Do purchased credits expire? Purchased top-up credits stay valid for 12 months from purchase, and TimeLens always spends your monthly grant first — so paid credits act as a backstop rather than burning down early.
• What happens when I run out of credits? Anything the AI is already working on finishes normally. After that, AI features pause with a clear message and a link to top up — nothing fails silently. Planning, journaling, habits, time tracking, and the rest of the app keep working without credits, and your next monthly grant restores AI access automatically.
• Do credits change my plan or subscription? No. Credits meter AI usage only. Pro features like calendar sync, in-app AI chat access, and unlimited task assignments come from your subscription — buying credits tops up usage without changing your plan. If you find yourself buying packs often, Pro is usually the better value.
• Where can I see my balance? Settings → Billing shows your grant balance, purchased balance, and when your current grant period ends. You also get a heads-up in the app and on WhatsApp when your balance runs low.
• Is there a welcome bonus? Yes — your first WhatsApp conversation with TimeLens adds a one-time bonus of 30 credits to your balance.
