Deep Work by TimeLens

Enter Mōnk Mode. A calmer you. A deeper you.

Mōnk turns deep work into a small ritual: choose one thing, protect a focus block, and let the rest of the world stay outside the door for a while.

Choose the depth that fits the work

Start with 25, 50, 90, or 120 minutes, or leave the session open-ended when you want to follow the work as long as focus holds. Short sessions make it easier to begin; longer blocks give demanding writing, coding, design, strategy, research, and creative work enough uninterrupted space to become coherent.

Pick a technique, not a productivity religion

Use Pomodoro for compact 25-minute sprints, 50/10 for a longer repeatable rhythm, a 90-minute block for demanding work, Flowtime when you want the break to follow your natural focus, or Custom when the work needs its own rules. Mōnk keeps the technique visible without turning the timer into the main event.

Build a world by going deeper

Deep-work sessions move Mōnk from a quiet rock to a hut, a monastery, the peak, and eventually a cosmic realm. The progression is intentionally gentle: the visual world, streaks, achievements, companions, and rituals make consistency feel tangible while the real reward remains the work you finished.

  • The Rock — begin your journey.
  • The Hut — build consistency.
  • The Monastery — go deeper.
  • The Peak — master your craft.
  • The Cosmic Realm — let good work compound.

Meet the tiny guardian at the door

Mōnk is calm during focus, cheeky around distractions, celebratory after a session, sage during reflection, and cosmic at larger milestones. More than fifty short lines give the character a dry personality without turning focus into noisy motivation: “Less noise. More depth.” “Your phone survived without you.” “Many plans. One next action.”

Use Mōnk wherever you work

The Deep Work experience lives on the TimeLens web app and in the dedicated iOS and Android satellite app. Use the same focus idea from your desk or phone, then return to the wider TimeLens system when you want planning, time tracking, goals, habits, journaling, reviews, templates, and the rest of your work context.
